The story follows (Vijay), a blacksmith from the remote village of Thirupaachi near Madurai. Known for his expert craftsmanship of the "Thirupaachi Aruvaal" (sickle), Sivagiri is fiercely devoted to his younger sister, Karpagam (Mallika).
