The transatlantic slave trade brought millions of enslaved Africans to the Caribbean, who were forced to work on plantations and in mines. The African influence on Caribbean culture is still evident today, with many island nations celebrating their African heritage through music, dance, and art.

The Caribbean climate is characterized as tropical, with warm temperatures and high humidity levels throughout the year. The region experiences a wet season from May to October and a dry season from November to April. The Caribbean region consists of the Caribbean Sea, its islands, and the surrounding coasts. It is situated to the east of Central America, north of South America, and south of the Greater Antilles.
