The Hudson II is designed to evolve. To convert the crib into its later stages, you will typically need additional parts:

Step 1: Attach the Side Rails to the HeadboardAlign the side rails with the pre-drilled holes on the headboard posts. Insert the wood dowels first to help with alignment. Use the provided bolts and the Allen wrench to secure the rails. Step 2: Connect the FootboardRepeat the process for the footboard. Align the side rails with the footboard posts, insert the hardware, and tighten. Once all four corners are connected, go back and tighten all bolts firmly. The Hudson II is designed to evolve

Step 3: Install the Mattress Support FrameThe mattress support is a metal grid that holds the weight of the mattress and your baby. Most Hudson II models offer three height positions.Newborns: Use the highest setting to save your back while lifting the baby.Active Babies: Once your child can sit up, move it to the middle setting.Toddlers: Once your child can stand, use the lowest setting to prevent them from climbing out.Bolt the support frame into the brackets on the corner posts. Ensure the "Warning" labels on the support frame are facing upward.

Check hardware regularly. Every few months, ensure the bolts haven't loosened due to the crib's natural movement or the baby jumping.Avoid aftermarket parts.
